MARTIN COUNTY, N.C. – A boil water advisory is in effect for residents in specific areas of Martin County due to ongoing construction impacting the water system.
Residents on Bailey Road, Wynn Road, and Wynn Lane, all located outside of Williamston, are advised to boil all water used for consumption until further notice. This includes water for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and other household purposes.
To ensure the water is safe, bring it to a rolling boil for at least one minute before allowing it to cool. Alternatively, residents may choose to use bottled water.
County officials are actively monitoring the situation and will lift the boil water advisory once water quality tests confirm the water is safe to consume.
